Welcome to The Oak Tree Market of Richmond
We're just about a half mile west of route 12 on route 173 in Richmond, Illinois. You'll find us on the south side of the street.
The market will be opening Saturdays starting July 30th 2011 and running till Halloween.
We're a family run market that hopefully will be a gathering place for people wishing to find freshly grown produce, grown especially for them, by members of their own community.
We hope for this market to become a staple in the community and to grow. We have visions of it being a wonderful place that you not only want to shop for your fresh produce, but eventually where you can also find local artisans selling their wares. To enjoy some music while your out walking under our 200 year old oak trees. You might even hear the sounds of some small animals in a petting zoo one day.
We need your help to grow, just like the old oaks have grown here. We hope to be nurtured by the community and hear what you want us to become in time. We would love eventually to be open more days and imagine people stopping by to pick up items for their evening supper. While the community nurtures us, we hope in turn the produce sold at our market and the sense of community and being with others will nurture your family. We thank you in advance.
